Campaign Coordinator Internship

The Tibetan Women's Association is currently taking resumes for a Campaign Coordinator internship position at the Central Executive Committee office in Dharamsala, India. This person would be assisting the staff Campaign Coordinator in a newly created position. TWA is a very busy non-governmental organization, but we are always looking for ways to make our organization better. One area that we would like to improve is our campaigning efforts. TWA is currently campaigning for the release of the XIth Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the release of Trulku Tenzin Delek, boycotting Chinese goods, using the 2008 Olympics in China as a way to further educate the world, especially the Olympic athletes, about China's human rights violations. As we continue with our work for the Tibetan community at TWA, we find that we need someone to remain on top of these issues by actively campaigning. Being actively involved means consistently writing letters on behalf of these issues to key international organizations, such as the United Nations, raising further awareness with both Tibetans and international supporters, and initializing new campaign ideas that demonstrative real progression on these issues.
