Tibetan Women Leadership Program
The Third annual Tibetan Women Leadership Program will be held in Pondicherry from December 21-25, 2007. This will follow up on the success of the two previous TWLP workshops, held in Bangalore and in New Delhi.
The program will explore different aspects of women's leadership over 5 days of intensive activities. Activities will include role-plays, participatory workshops, interactive discussions and documentary projections. Prominent speakers will also share their views of leadership and related issues. All activities will be highly interactive and participatory. Our aim is to encourage participants to work together, share ideas, explore and develop their individual leadership skills as women. One day will be reserved to addressing the topic of gender roles and gender sensitisation as an important element of women's empowerment.
The Tibetan Women Association will pay for the transportation and accommodation of participants. Within the five-day programme we wish to create a space for self-expression, reflection and creativity that will inspire participants, increase their awareness of their own leadership skills, and encourage them to use these skills in their lives and communities.
